It was way back in 1873, that Fernhills a large bungalow located on a sprawling 40 acre estate, facing the green wooded slopes and Blue mountains of the Nilgiris was bought by the 11 year old Maharaja Chama Rajendra Wadiyar X of Mysore(1868 to 1894). He added a Darbar Hall, built separate wings with suites for himself and his family. Now with 19 Regal suites with bedrooms, sitting rooms, dressing rooms and spacious baths with Jacuzzi.
