Refreshingly different distinguishing feature of the resort is the large free form swimming pool skirted by tropical plants and vegetation - including frangipani, banana plants, bamboo, grass and mango trees producing a lagoon like appearance. The water ionization, filtration system is an added advantage requiring minimal use of chlorine and other algaecides. The Restaurant and bar are set in a large Portuguese era mansion, with long verandahs and patios overlooking a beautiful tropical garden and the fields and valley beyond. Here the emphasis is on classic recipes from various cuisines, quality of ingredients and style by way of old fashioned silverware, damask linen etc. We agree fully with Bond; the best and most luxurious things in life are the pure and simple things. We endorse good taste rather than opulence and extravagance. (For us Indians a plain dal or chappati is a most satisfying meal).
